EDTA Zinc vs Ordinary Zinc Fertilizer: Higher Stability, Zero Lock-Up, Double Absorption Rate

2026-08-27

Many crops suffer from zinc deficiency even after regular zinc supplementation. The core reason is insufficient stability of ordinary zinc fertilizers. Traditional zinc sulfate and zinc oxide are chemically unstable. Once applied, they easily react with phosphate, calcium and alkaline soil particles, becoming insoluble and unavailable before crops can absorb them.

The greatest advantage of EDTA-Zn is its strong anti-antagonism, anti-fixation and pH resistance. The organic EDTA shell isolates soil ion interference, keeps zinc ions active, soluble and plant-available, and prevents precipitation reactions with phosphate and calcium fertilizers. It completely solves the common problem of ineffective zinc supplementation.

EDTA chelated zinc delivers far higher absorption efficiency than conventional zinc sources. It causes no leaf burn, no crystallization and no nozzle blockage during foliar application. It dissolves completely for drip irrigation and soil application. It corrects zinc deficiency rapidly and maintains long-term zinc balance, promoting green new leaves, strong shoots and full flower buds.

Long-term application improves photosynthesis, enhances disease resistance and stress tolerance, reduces flower and fruit drop as well as deformed fruits, and steadily increases crop yield and fruit grade.
